Abbas' work has long focused on religion and in particular the worldwide Islamic community. His new book 'In Whose Name? The Islamic World After 9/11' (Thames & Hudson 2009) documents Abbas' journey across sixteen Islamic countries including Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kenya and Thailand, and presents the effects that the 2001 attacks on the Twin Towers has had on the Islamic world.
Abbas will introduce selected work from 'In Whose Name?' and signed copies of the new book will be available to purchase.
