Magnum Georgian Spring Book Launch Party

To celebrate the launch of Magnum Georgian Spring Book and Multimedia Project please join us for an evening of Georgian wine and pictures. With a performance by Beka Gochiashvili.

Georgian Spring captures the moment of Georgia’s renaissance, its revival, its awakening.

Ten Magnum photographers visited Georgia during the spring of 2009. Their job was to be what they are: travelers, individualists, with their own points of view, free to notice what they thought worth noticing, on their own journey of discovery. The result is eleven extraordinary web documentaries, a book and a touring exhibition. Join us for a preview of the web documentaries produced by Magnum In Motion.

Beka Gochiashvili

Thirteen year old Beka Gochiashvili shared 1st prize in the Montreux Jazz Festival piano competition which was held in Switzerland in July. He recently won a scholarship to attend Juilliard’s pre-college program. Since the age of 9 he has studied jazz with Zurab Ramishvili. He is the recipient of many other awards. Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called the Georgian piano marvel, "one of the best jazz pianists I’ve heard anywhere."
